Health and Safety Advisor Opportunity

Safety Scotland are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their company. This is a part time role working 3 days a week, initially for 6 months which will be reviewed and may be extended.

This is an exciting opportunity for a part time Health and Safety Advisor to work with us carrying out site health and safety inspections across various different workplaces. You will also be required to complete RAMS, construction phase plans, online accreditation's (such as SMAS, CHAS and Constructionline) and undertake accident/incident investigations and compile reports.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Conduct regular site HSE inspections / audits at agreed times / dates using Safety Culture mobile app
  2. Promote a positive safety-first culture.
  3. Provide competent advice and guidance on Health and Safety issues
  4. Co-ordinate incident investigations, establish and provide advice on the root cause.
  5. Provide all accident reports and inspections or audit findings in a timely manner.
  6. Ensure that the Construction Phase Plan and RAMS are created and reviewed before they are issued.

Skills and Experience Required

  1. NEBOSH Construction/General certificate or equivalent
  2. Possess great communication skills and the ability to build good positive working relationships.
  3. Have a professional and proactive approach to their work.
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Team player
